Responsible Investment

YiMei is committed to responsible investing that encourages environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and effective corporate governance ("ESG"). The firm has established ESG program, both internally and with portfolio funds and companies. YiMei adheres to the Guidelines for Responsible Investment promulgated by the American Investment Council and views responsible investment as an important element of its overall investment approach.

YiMei believes that, through itself and its portfolios, it is contributing to the growth of its target markets. YiMei considers ESG issues in its firm operations, in reviewing investment opportunities, during due diligence, in the course of monitoring existing investments, and when serving on the boards of its portfolio funds and companies. The Firm also invests in the human capital of the employees of its portfolios.

YiMei is not currently a signatory to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment ("UNPRI") or a participant in the United Nations Global Compact, however, the Firm seeks to operate within their guidelines and would consider formally adopting the principles in the future.

YiMei has formed a partnership with NPI, China's leading private organization enabling and supporting a wide range charitable and social activities that contribute to the welfare of the society. In addition to actively supporting and participating in NPI's coaching and training programs for private charitable organizations, innovative social enterprises, and corporate social responsibilities, YiMei established China's first social impact investment fund jointly with NPI in 2015 which has been investing in innovative start-up social enterprises with sustainable business models. YiMei's founding partner also serves on the board of United Way China.
